About Champion Physiotherapy

Champion Physiotherapy is an air conditioned physiotherapy center providing pain relief for patients with joint and spine pains due to various musculoskeletal reasons. Our objective is to promote exercise as a medium of pain relief which empowers the patient to control pain themselves. With 20 years of experience in using physical agents and exercise to relieve pain, we are sure whatever joint pain you are suffering, exercise can often help you. You are welcome to Champion Physiotherapy to try our methods to relieve your joint pains. The methods are simple and sustainable with no side effects. Located in a ground floor in a main road with convenient parking space for cars, it is very easy for patients to access the physiotherapy premises.

Physiotherapist

K Thomas Jefferson, graduated from The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu India in 1999 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree and in 2009 from the same university with Master of Physiotherapy (Advanced Physiotherapy in Orthopedics) degree. Since graduating, he has worked in several hospitals treating patients with a variety of musculo-skeletal problems conservatively and also post-surgically. He is a registrant in the Health and Care Professions Council – UK (HCPC-UK) Reg. No: PH-72067.

He has undergone training in Ergonomics. He has undergone Level I training by Dr. Jean Claude De Mauroy, President, European Spine Center, France in Lyon Method for scoliosis. He has completed Diploma in Football Medicine, a course by FIFA, Switzerland. He has undergone "Advanced Manual Therapy training for Post Surgical Breast Cancer Patients", under Ms. Susan Chapelle, Canada and provides physiotherapy to reduce arm swelling after breast cancer surgery. He was selected and completed a special online course from the University of Oxford, UK to treat painful Hand and Fingers of Rheumatoid Arthritis patients. He is the only certified physiotherapist in Coimbatore having Level 1 and Level 2 certifications to provide online physiotherapy by Physitrack -UK. He has completed an online course on Paediatric Assessment: Developmental and Musculoskeletal Case Studies for Physiotherapists from the New Castle University, U K and the course Introduction to Ageing for Innovators from the same university. While he doesn’t prescribe medicines, he is a strong advocate to take medicines whenever warranted by a specialist and encourages adhering to medical advice.

He is Co-Investigator in a Department of Science and Technology project being done at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. With 20 years of experience he has expertise using exercise in treating spine problems like neck, low back and coccydynia pains. He has developed and teaches the Restore Your Core Strength program currently available at Champion Physiotherapy. Outside of work, he also enjoys playing guitar, reading books and going places with his wife Ruby.
